Kintsugi brooch

In the creation of this brooch I was inspired by Kintsugi, a very old japanise method to repaired ceramic objects with gold seams.

At the symbolic level I feel that Kintsugi may be associated with the human capacity to amend one’s ‘faults’, even in a creative and artistic way.

Every jewel is unique and unrepeatable.
